Welcome on djengo. Don't forget to create your daily trip.

Submitting your daily trip is the first thing you should do after you sign up to Djengo. This helps the system match users trips together and helps you find people to carpool with.

Once your profile has been created, click on "Daily trip" to indicate your trip and week schedule. You need to follow those steps: Indicate wether you want to be driver, passenger or both; enter your origin address and choose from your groups destination addresses; eventually, add some custom waypoints; enter your work schedule and how long this trip is valid.

Yes! When you enter your daily trip, in the "Daily trip" menu, you just have to specify "both" on the first line.

Yes! The system was designed for flexible schedules. In the "Daily trip" tab, at the bottom of the page, you can specify your schedule, day by day.

Yes it is! You need to adapt the start and end dates above your weekly carpooling schedule in your daily trip tab.

Unfortunately it is not yet possible to enter different daily trips in the system.

The "time range" parameter let's carpoolers define how flexible they are regarding their carpooling schedule.

For instance, a time range of 15min means that the carpooler agrees to be matched with someone leaving 15min before or 15min after the time of departure he mentionned in his schedule.

The calendar is used for different reasons. First of all, it helps you visualize your weekly carpool schedule.

Then, via the calendar you can easily book and edit your carpool trips with your favourite carpoolers by cliking opn their names, or with new carpoolers by clicking on "find a carpooler". You can do that trip by trip or for the entire week at once.

Finally, booking your trips through the Djengo calendar, enables the platform to keep your history of carpooltrips in order to benefit from tax advantages and incentives, if your company chooses to reward carpoolers.

It is not possible yet to edit past trips in my calendar.

Yes it is! When you book a trip via your calendar with one of your favourite carpoolers, the system will inform you of other trips you could do with this same person and allows you to select the ones you are interested in and to book them all at once.

In your tab "dailty trip" you just need enter your weekly schedule and to select the right week (start and end date above your schedule).

Above your calendar, click on the "iCal" button. Your computer will guide you through the next steps.

Once you have entered your daily trip, your trips will be displayed in in your calendar. Each square represents a single trip.By clicking on the "find a partner" button in the square corresponding to a specific trip, the system will display a list of potential carpoolers for that specific trip.

A favourite, is a carpooler you're used to carpool with, or you plan on carpooling regularly with. By adding a person to your favourite carpoolers, you will be able to book your trips with that person in a few clicks via your calendar. You favourites show up directly in your calendar on the trips that you are matched with him for. By clicking on their name, you wil send a request for booking that trip. It's much quicker that booking a trip with a new carpooler!

In the tab "members", choose the person you want to add to your favourites. Once you've reached his profile page, click on "complete profile" next to his name. On the displayed page  you then just need to clik on "add to favourites" to send an invitation.

It could be that this person is not registered on Djengo, or that he is but hasn't entered his daily trip yet. Once that person is registered, and has entered his daily trip but still doens't show up in the potential carpoolers you could be matched with, then it might be a schedule issue. Try and a large time range in your settings, that should do!

The rate is 8 cents per km and 15 cents per km of detour. This rate is meant to cover the costs of the trip.

The given rate is given as information. There is no obligation of payment, no payment goes through the platform. Payment happens upon agreement between driver and passenger. Moreover a driver who does not pay for his car is not allowed to receive payment for carpool trips.

An incentive is a reward you can get once you carpooled a certain amount of trips or km. To know what incentive your company rewards you with, and what the challenge is, check out you incentive page in the e-wallet tab of you Djengo account.

Driver or passenger, once you have reached the set amount of carpooltrips or carpooled km you have the right to claim your incentive, provided your company offers one.

Ask the person in charge of mobility in your company.

All potential carpooler can see your start adress. If you don't want people to know where you live, you can choose to enter a different start adress that is not your home but that is located nearby, for instance the next street, the main avenue, the train station etc.

Only people you have accepted to carpool with will be able to see your phone number if you have put it in your profile information.

Absolutely not. It is exclusively used for matching optimisation purposes.

To check whether you are eligible for tax advantages, go to the page "Fiscality" in the "E-wallet" tab on your Djengo page. Step 1 " Can you receive tax benefits" enbales you to download a brochure that explains who is eligible for tax benefits.

If you are eligible for tax benefits (see previous question: "Who is eligible for tax benefits?"), Djengo makes it possible to benefit from extra tax exemption! It's very simple: you have to take the steps indicated on your fiscality tab in the E-wallet on Djengo. These steps are mandatory to get the extra tax exemption. You need to reed the carpooling rules, sign the declaration on honour, fill in sepcific information so that Djengo can calculate you extra exemption (points 5, 6 and 7), print your carpooling history/ proofs, attach them to your tax declaration, and fill specific information and amount in in the right fields on your declaration. Djengo helps you at each and every step of the process. In your "fiscality" tab, once you have taken all the short steps, Djengo sends you your carpooling history/proofs by email and the tax exemption computing if necessary. It will also be posted on your fiscality tab so you can find it any time there.

Since your carpool partner is not a member of the Djengo community, it will not be possible to book your trips with him via the calendar, hence there will be no history of proofs of your carpool trips on Djengo. However, your employer has asked Djengo to make it possible for the Djengo members to benefit from tax exemption if they carpool, so we will make this happen! If you follow the instructions in the declaration on honour on how to set up your carpooling history in an excell sheet and you send that document to us at info@djengo.net; we will send you all the necessary information on how and what to fill in in your tax declaration in orde r to benefit from tax advantages!
